Twenty-one metres across, the circular bank still stands on the valley brow, enclosing a church and a children's burial ground above the stream. It may be the remains of an early ecclesiastical enclosure, a small world set apart where the youngest dead were kept within the same wall as prayer. The pasture has taken back most of it, but the line of the bank still divides the land into inside and outside, as if the valley itself remembered the shape of that first boundary.

Located in pastureland on the brow of a narrow valley overlooking a stream. The OS Letters describe a circular bank (int. diam.21m) and external fosse (Herity 2001, 48) enclosing a church (DU024-001001) and the children's burial ground (DU024-001002).
