What is recorded here

That is the edge of the known world. Everything beyond it is a step into the unknown. The distance is not long, but the change is not small. What you know ends at the line. What you do not know begins before you finish walking. The line does not separate two regions. It separates two modes of thinking. One mode fits the facts already known. The other mode must invent the rules of the new place. Both are needed. Neither is complete alone. A small distance can contain a whole new world.
