Cross

Built into a cement surround in the nave of the church (KD036-031001-). Fragments of a large ringed cross with part of the shaft, decorated with panels of animal and figure sculpture. A large ringed high cross, built into the nave of Moone Church, dates to the 9th or 10th century and is decorated with animal and figure sculpture; it is significant as a rare surviving example of early medieval stone art in Ireland.
