What is recorded here
Fairy fort / ringfort in Monasset is a fairy fort or ringfort in Monasset, County Westmeath, Ireland. The site sits on a low rise of ground in well drained pasture, a setting where the 1837 edition Ordnance Survey six inch map recorded good views in all directions. That same map edition hachured the location as a circular enclosure, identifying it as a probable ringfort. Although no surface remains are visible, the monument persists as a mapped feature on the historical record.
