The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Aerial photographs (CUCAP AYL 29, 30) show cropmark of fosse enclosing approximately square area (max. dims. c. 25m x 25m) with indications of entrance in middle of S side. Cropmarks of rectangular fields in vicinity (CW008-052002-). Adjacent to enclosure site (CW008-040----). No visible surface traces. Probably a moated site.
