The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Aerial photographs (CUCAP AYL 29, 30) show approximately circular area surrounded by cropmark of narrow fosse (est max. diam. c. 25m). Possibly a ringfort. Cropmarks of rectangular fields in vicinity, possibly connected with moated site (CW008-052001-).
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
