Castle Matrix rises six storeys above the River Deel, its stones scarred by Cromwell's cannons yet unbroken. Built for the Earls of Desmond, it witnessed the brutal murder of a young earl and the planting of the first Irish potatoes. After decades abandoned to the rain, an American hero reclaimed the derelict shell, filling its chambers with twelve thousand books and restoring the dungeon to life.
Castle Matrix is recorded as a castle in County Limerick. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
