Freestanding triangular-plan limestone milestone, c. 1870, with chamfered triangular top, inscribed lettering and numbering which reads: 'New Castle West 7 / Limerick 19 / Kilarney 48'.
This milestone is a notable for its near intact condition and is an interesting addition to the roadside. The triangular form and clear simple lettering makes it an instantly recognisable piece of street furniture.
