Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Knightswood is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knightswood, County Westmeath, Ireland. The site occupies the north face of a prominent hill in grassland, overlooked by higher ground to the west, and comprises a large circular area approximately 43 metres from northwest to southeast and 41 metres from northeast to southwest. A substantial earth and stone bank encloses this space, featuring a slight fosse and a southern entrance gap 1.8 metres wide, with the bank best preserved from east-southeast through south to southwest. The interior shows traces of cultivation ridges running from northeast to southwest, and the monument is now almost completely surrounded by a quarry visible on November 2011 aerial photographs.

Situated on the N face of the summit of a prominent hill in grassland, overlooked by higher ground to W. A large circular-shaped, slightly raised area (approx. diam. 43m NW-SE; 41m NE-SW) enclosed by a substantial earth and stone bank with a slight fosse and entrance gap (Wth 1.8m) at S. The bank is best preserved from ESE-S-SW (Wth 3.7m; Int. H 0.1m at E), and is fragmentary or levelled to a slight scarp elsewhere. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running across the interior from NE-SW. A field fence running NNW-SSE originally intersected the monument from NE-E. The site is now almost completely surrounded by a quarry which is visible on Digital Globe aerial photographs taken November 2011. See attached profile of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
