What is recorded here

Killasseragh held a thirty-five metre earthen ring on a south-facing slope before ploughs and patience erased it. The 1842 map still draws its circular ghost, truncated by a field fence, proving the land once shaped itself around human life. Fairy fort is a nickname born of wonder, not proof. What is certain is that a ring existed, was built, was used, and was lost to the ordinary hunger for flat ground.
