Low stone and earth still mark a small dwelling inside a circular rath on level ground in County Kerry. The open northern edge and clear views suggest a place chosen to face the sky, receive rain and be seen from a distance. A person may have stood there at dawn, reading weather on the horizon before entering the shelter.

Roughly circular univallate rath KE044-104---- is situated on fairly level ground with good views in all directions. The centre of the enclosure is occupied by the foundations of a possible hut KE044-104001-. A low mound of earth and stone, less than .5m high, partly encloses an area 4m in diameter; it is open to N. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
