Ballynacourty Church: The church is mentioned in the Desmond Inquisition in 1584 and is included in a list of parochial churches in the diocese in 1622 (TCD Ms 2158, 94). It was in ruins by 1756 (Smith, 69) and no trace of it remained in 1841 (OSL). The building stood in a rectangular graveyard c. 1km NW of the village of Anascaul. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
