Freestanding cast-iron water pump, erected c.1870, now disused. Comprises cylindrical shaft with raised horizontal banding, fluted upper section with fluted spout, fluted ogee-domed cap and cow tail pumping arm. Set back from the road. Bounded by random coursed wall.

This water pump exhibits artistic detailing in its design, with an elegantly curved handle, fluted neck, cap and spout. As an ornamental structure, it is a notable item of street furniture, which contributes to the character of the area.
