Gilbertstown Church in County Carlow held a font recorded in 1933, yet dense overgrowth hid both buildings from inspection in 1988. The site may have waited in shadow for decades, untouched and unseeing, until someone cut through the green to reveal what memory had already shaped.
Font recorded at Gilbertstown Church (CW013-002001-) (JKAS 1933, 302). Neither font or church were visible due to dense overgrowth when inspected by ASI in 1988.
