What is recorded here

Gallan stood in Mid Cork as a single stone until removal erased it without a visible surface trace. It escaped the 1842 and 1904 maps but appeared in 1937, suggesting human eyes and perhaps ritual use recognised it before surveyors did. Its disappearance leaves behind a vacant placeholder, forcing imagination to complete what the land no longer shows.
