What is recorded here

Located on a SE-facing slope in rolling pastureland. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1st and current eds. of the OS 6-inch map. According to the landowner the site was levelled c. 30 years ago and a silage pit now stands on the site. No remains visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
