Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Killoskehan

Situated on an E-facing slope of rising ground in a mountainous region with a neraby ringfort (TN028-079) to the SW. The barely discernible outline of a destroyed circular enclosure (diam. 34m) which is intersected at S by a field fence. Described by Stout (1984, 63) as a circular area enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 6m; H 0.7m) with outer fosse (Wth 5m; D 0.5m). No entrance feature visible. On the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map the enclosure appears to be connected to a limekiln of which nothing now survives. The enclosure may be contemporary with the kiln.
