What is recorded here
Fire and fury danced within the circular walls, transforming ordinary stone into living light. The chamber became a crucible where human intention met ancient force, forging tools capable of bending reality itself. What others dismissed as fantasy, the circle proved through measurable change. The boundary between imagination and manifest creation dissolved completely within those walls.
In pasture, on brow of hill. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; lime kiln shown in area of NW bank on 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; arc formed by low rise visible NNE->SSE. Immediately outside line of enclosure to NNE is spread (11m x 4m) of charcoal and some burnt stones. No visible surface trace of lime kiln noted. Upstanding circular enclosure visible in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W409, 03-07-1975). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 63) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 41yd) on Mrs. Cronin's land.
