What is recorded here
Richfort and Cooleeshil both claim the same hidden ring. The survey admitted the fort but the ground erased it, leaving two towns to argue over a ghost. Human hands built the circle, forgot the name, and the fairy story stepped into the vacancy.
On a slight rise in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The monument is not visible at ground level.
