Excavation

As part of a monitoring programme prior to the development of the technology park (Excavation Licence 98E0440 ext.), two distinct linear features were exposed between a Man-made underground passage (LH007-132001-) and a horseshoe-shaped enclosure (LH007-095----). The first (LH007-132002-) ran towards the enclosure and had been cut through by the N-S passage of the Man-made underground passage, no artefacts were recovered from it. The second (LH007-132003-) was located approximately 3m N of the Man-made underground passage, and consisted of a central linear feature with two crescent shaped arcs projecting off either side of it, one of which contained the partial remains of an articulated skeleton.
