What is recorded here
Situated within a now mature conifer plantation on the old parkland of Drumhierny Lodge, which was c. 250m to the NE. The parkland had been laid out by P. Latouche and was worthy of note (Lewis 1837, vol. 2, 214). This feature is indicated as a circular copse (diam. c. 30m) on the 1835 of OS six inch map. No archaeological feature is visible at ground level.
