Dromanarrigle holds a lost double-ramparted fort where Hickey's land once kept one-quarter of each bank standing. The circular enclosure measured about twenty-seven yards across and dropped into a fourteen-foot fosse, but ploughing and forgetting took the rest. What remains is a shallow breath of earth in pasture, large enough to remember and small enough to overlook.

Levelled; circular area (c. 31m NNE-SSW) defined by low rise (int. H 0.3m) SSW->NNE; intervening fosse; outer bank survives as second low rise (H 0.2m) N->NW; external fosse visible as faint depression N->SSW. According to local information, last remaining portion of ringfort levelled c. 1979. Banks of bivallate circular enclosure visible as shadow site in aerial photograph (CASAP). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 484) as double-ramparted fort (diam. c. 27yd) on D. Hickey's land; 'about one-quarter of each rampart now stands'; fosse c. 14ft wide.
