The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Crossanstown is in County Westmeath, Ireland. Situated on a slight rise in gently undulating pasture and tillage with good views in all directions, the site was depicted on the revised 1913 edition Ordnance Survey map as a suboval-shaped tree-planted earthwork measuring approximately 51 metres northwest to southeast and 41.5 metres northeast to southwest. A 1971 account described the much disturbed oval-shaped area as defined by a high steep-sided scarp, the remains of an intervening fosse, an outer bank, and an outer fosse, noting that the original entrance was not recognisable. That same account recorded the site as almost defaced beyond recognition by a complex series of quarry holes and completely overgrown with thorn trees, while the levelled monument was not visible in Digital Globe aerial photography.
