Ballymodan Graveyard

Ballymodan Graveyard holds the buried roots of a pre-Reformation church and an ancient ringfort, witnessing lives long before St. Peter's Church rose in the early 1600s. It served early English settlers and later received Cornelius O’Sullivan, the distinguished chemist who died in 1907 after contributing to biochemistry at Bass Brewery. A stained-glass window in the local parish church still commemorates his legacy, linking his distant work back to this quiet Cork soil.
