Marianne stopped the car when the path narrowed. She walked to the rock outcrop, not the coordinate point, and found a shallow circular hollow hidden beside a standing stone. Soil had filled most of the ring, but its edge still broke the grass in a clean curve. The fort had not disappeared; it had stopped announcing itself.

In pasture broken by rock outcrop, on S-facing slope, commanding view to N of Dunmanus Bay. Marked on OS 6-inch map (1842) as circular enclosure. No visible surface trace.
