West Cork, 1992 inventory: Gortnacarriga’s children’s burial ground lies in pasture at the south-west corner of a field, its markers outlining an 8m by 6m rectangle. The name suggests small bodies, short fevers, or infants taken before memory could form. Grass may have swallowed most markers since surveyors walked past, but the shape remains a room where love stopped arguing with fate.

In pasture, in SW corner of field. Grave markers noted forming rectangular area (8m E-W; 6m N-S). Known locally as "children's burial ground".
