Situated on top of a steep natural rise, in gently undulating pasture and tillage. Annotated ‘Cloghbrien Fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map. Ringfort (WM023-071----) lies c. 120m to N. Levelled monument described in 1971 as no surface remains visible. Barely visible outline of levelled ringfort visible today on Digital Globe aerial photograph
