What is recorded here
According to Adams (1881, 492) a church was erected at Balcurris by St. Folloman in the 6th-century. It was dedicated to St. Mac Tail (d.548). In 1167, Gilbert de Nugent bestowed this church to the Abbey of the Virgin Mary. The exact location of this monument is unknown.
