Indicated is a crannog in Cavetown OR Ballynahoogh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a circular overgrown island thirty metres wide and one to eighteen hundred millimetres high at the narrower eastern end of Cavetown Lough. Two partly submerged wooden posts revet the eastern perimeter, while another crannog and Ballynahoogh castle remain nearby.

In Cavetown Lough (dims. c. 1.5 km E-W; c. 300-700m N-S), at the narrower E end c. 20m from the E shore and c. 50m from the N shore. Circular overgrown island (diam. 30m; H 1m at W to 1.8m at N) composed of earth and stones with two partly submerged wooden posts revetting the perimeter at ENE. Crannog (RO010-035----) is c. 60m to the SSE, and Ballynahoogh castle (RO010-033----) is c. 150m to the NE on the shore. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
