What is recorded here

Indicated is a lost oval enclosure in County Mayo, measured at forty-two metres across on a 1931 map but erased from the rough pasture before anyone walked it. The land still holds clearance cairns and rocky outcrops, suggesting people worked and marked the boundary long before the ground swallowed the shape. What remains is a absence large enough to circle, visible only in the memory of the survey line drawn across forgotten soil.
