What is recorded here

Castlecarra is a bawn in County Mayo, Ireland. The wall still stands where it was built to keep out what the land refused to trust. People may have lived inside it, watched the sky or bled on its stones, though no name has survived to tell that part.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
