Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrownurlar (roscommon By. ), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a subcircular grass-covered area on a NE-facing slope, bounded partly by an earthen bank with bushes and partly by a scarp. A stone-lined entrance opens at the east, while no visible fosse appears anywhere around the perimeter.
On a rise on a NE-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 28.5m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.2-1.5m) NE-SE and at W, and elsewhere by a scarp (H 0.9m at S to 1.75m at N). There is a stone-lined entrance (Wth. 3.3m) at E, but there is no visible fosse.
