Semi-detached two-bay three-storey house, built c. 1860, with catslide return to rear, and recent porch extension to front having hipped roof. Hipped slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods, overhanging bracketed eaves, and rendered chimneystacks. Artificial hipped slate roof to porch. Painted rendered walls with render eaves band and render platbands at sill levels of upper storeys, and having projecting through-stones to front elevation, and roughcast rendered walls to rear. Square-headed openings, having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows to ground and first floors and replacement uPVC windows to top floor. Square-headed openings to rear with six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows and cut-stone sills. Small garden to front and snecked limestone former barracks boundary wall to rear.

This house, one of a pair, is of unusual design and layout. Its two-bay elevation is unusual for its tall form, which is provided horizontal emphasis by the sill courses and platbands. The tall broad chimneystack, along with the one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows are notable features, the manufacture of such windows becoming possible with advances in glass technology.
