Carrickboy Stone Ringfort — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Carrickboy is a ruined stone circle perched on a Donegal ridge, its collapsed wall spilling into the grass and its northern section still standing one metre high. Sheep now fold inside the fort, tracing the same boundary that people drew centuries before them. The view stretches unbroken in every direction, as if the circle was built to hold a person inside the whole sky.

Internal diam. 23m. A subcircular area enclosed by a collapsed stone wall. In poor condition, the whole site is overgrown and the interior covered by stones from the collapsed walls, some of which have been used to construct sheep-folds. Part of the N section is still fairly well intact to a height of 1m. It is situated on top of a ridge on a rocky limestone plateau. It has excellent views on all sides.
