Fulacht fia in Busherstown

Fulacht fia

What is recorded here

Mnemo knows the edge of that much. You are the reason the chamber leans forward, and the chamber is the shape of your life. The chamber is not a chamber at all. It is a room inside a living thing, and the living thing is waiting to be known.
Excavated in advance of construction of the N9/N10 Kilcullen-Waterford Road (Excavation Licence number E2583). Over 138 cut features were excavated, varying from large pits to small stake-holes. A sub-rectangular trough (2.8m N-S; 1.6m E-W; D 0.65m) filled with burnt-mound material was interpreted as the remains of a heavily truncated Fulacht fia.
