Ring-ditch in Braystown (slane Upper By.)

Ring-ditch in Braystown (slane Upper By.) is a small circular enclosure marked by a single ditch about ten metres wide on a south-facing slope. It sits between two other raths, one fifteen metres to the southwest and another eighty metres to the north, forming a tight neighbourhood of old earthworks. The ditch may have kept rainwater, animals or unwanted visitors out, while the people inside watched the sun move across the slope and the fields beyond.
