Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballygreighan, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a raised circular area near the break of slope on the southeast side of a high northeast-southwest ridge in undulating pasture. A shallow fosse and outer bank surround the central scarp, though quarrying removed part of the southern bank.
Situated near the break of slope on the SE side of a high NE-SW ridge in undulating pasture. Raised circular area (26m E-W; 24m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.6-1m) with ephemeral traces of a levelled bank at its upper edge (Wth 2.6m). At the foot of the scarp is a shallow fosse (Wth 2- 3.5m) and an outer bank (Wth 3.6-4m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1-1.2m) which has been quarried away at S. Compiled by: Patrick F.
