What is recorded here

In undulating pastureland. A hachured feature marked on the 1947-8 revision of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1985 to be a roughly circular depression, most likely a disused sand and gravel pit. As it is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
