What is recorded here

White Mills in County Louth holds a mixed bag of Mesolithic and Neolithic stone tools, including single-platform cores and a notched blade. The junction of two ages in one handful of flint suggests people kept returning as the world changed. What is clear is that the site recorded both ancient and younger craftsmanship, not a single moment frozen in time.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
