What is recorded here

On intertidal zone of River Shannon estuary, c. 125m to N of flood relief embankment. A Bronze Age house (LI004-032008-) is c. 48m to E. Not depicted on OS historic mapping. Listed as ‘Carrigadirty Rock 2' by O’ Sullivan (2001, 306) who described the site as following; 'Wooden posts (with metal tool-marks), limestone slabs and cattle bone in fen peats, on sloping foreshore WNW of Carrigdirty Rock 1. Posts (8, 10cm in diameter, 30cm long) set in an arc c. 5m long; posts and stone located in peats over an area 8m (N, S) by 5m (E-W). July 1994.'
