Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, set c.1940 into boundary wall of school. Cast lettering 'P & T' in Gaelic script over letter slot. Side-hung door with moulded edge.

This post box is mounted into the boundary wall of a school, neatly emphasising its social importance. Although mass-produced it is a stylish item and is enhanced by the Posts and Telegraphs monogram in raised lettering. The presence of the post box enhances the site of the school and the latter provides interesting context for the post box.
