Post box in Town Parks still has Victoria's initials, and the limestone around it has been carefully repointed. That's commitment to an awkward souvenir: the relationship ended, but we've paid a man to tidy around the ex's initials.

Wall-mounted cast-iron "wall box" post box, extant 1954, with "VR [Victoria Regina]" royal cipher. Set in repointed snecked limestone wall.

A "wall box" post box supplied by W.T. Allen and Company (fl. 1881-1955) of London representing an interesting example of mass-produced cast-iron work making a pleasing, if largely inconspicuous visual statement in Bective Street with embellishments identifying the artistic potential of the composition including the Queen Victoria (1819-1901; r. 1837-1901) royal cipher of additional significance as an imprinted reminder of the period when Ireland formed part of the British Empire.
