Two pits (c. 2m apart) containing dark coloured fill, exposed in recently used gravel pit face. Both are c. 0.8m below ground surface and cut into subsoil; semicircular in section and of similar dimensions (D c. 0.5m; max. Wth c. 0.8m). Pair of standing stones (CO108-023---) in field to NW, now 18m from edge of gravel pit.
