Multiple-span cast-iron railway bridge over river, erected c.1890, on site of earlier bridge, c.1860, now disused. Cast-iron Doric columns supporting cast-iron cross beams and riveted parapet panels. Retaining tracks in situ.

A fine cast-iron railway viaduct, crossing the River Bandon, which forms part of a significant group with other Cork, Bandon and South Coast Railway related structures. A strategic crossing point, it was apparently protected by soldiers during the civil war. Unusually, it retains its tracks in situ, elsewhere along the former line tracks have been removed. It is a reminder of the scale of the rail network in the past.
