On a low-lying level landscape. St Patrick's well (RO028-166001-) has the remains of a grass-covered penitential cairn (diam. of top 5m NW-SE; 5m NE-SW; H 0.1-0.3m) immediately to the NW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010

Linked to St Patrick, the site is associated with early Christian penitential practices, where pilgrims may have undertaken acts of penance at the cairn and well. The well and cairn reflect a tradition of holy wells as places of pilgrimage and healing in Irish folklore and religious history.
