This middle-sized eighteenth-century house originally functioned as a seasonal hunting lodge but now functions as a house with farm behind. The building's balanced façade is a reflection of Georgian interest in symmetrical form and regular proportions. The building is attractively set in partially landscaped grounds on a slight elevation to the west of Newmarket town. The house retains interesting features such as the simple fanlight and the projecting bays to either side of the ornate door surround.
