What is recorded here
Detached single-storey over basement former auxiliary building, c.1830, on a quadrant plan. Now in use as a house. Rendered wall to concave side containing round-headed doorway and niche housing marble plaque. Painted rubble stone wall to convex side with timber casement windows. Lean-to slate roof. Coursed squared limestone three-stage bell tower and original water pump attached to convex side.
Simple utilitarian outbuilding which retains its original form, with a fine bell tower attached. An important constituent of this well-preserved former domestic group. Unusual plaque set in niche with Arabic script may be an imported antiquity.
