What is recorded here

Located in Chapelizod village on the present site of the Church of Ireland church of St. Lawrence. Excavations at St. Martins Row in 1992 showed that the medieval graveyard extended to the NW of the present boundary wall as burials were uncovered which pre-dated a ditch dated on the basis of potsherds to the 13th-14th century (King 1993, 15). Compiled by: Geraldine Stout Uploaded: 3 January 2018
A medieval Christian graveyard; significance lies in its association with the historic Church of Ireland and the 1992 excavations that expanded understanding of the site's historical boundaries.
