Part of a sub-circular enclosure (C c. 100m SW-NNW) indicated on the 1908 edition of the OS 6-inch map and visible on aerial photographs (GSI, S 33-4; S 103-4). It is defined by a scarp from S-SW, and by a bank (Wth c. 2.5m, ext. H c. 1m) from SW-NNW. An external fosse (Wth c. 3.8m) is present from SE-NNW. No other visible surface remains. The interior rises with the natural topography. A possible mass-rock (LA035-049001-) is located in the NE quadrant close to the bank of the stream. The stream forms the county boundary between Laois and Kilkenny.
