Freestanding rough hewn limestone monument, dated 1761. Set in unkempt grounds on mound with random rubble limestone battered boundary wall to perimeter.
A monument erected by Dominick Browne (c.1701-76) of Breaghwy Lodge representing an important component of the mid eighteenth-century built heritage of County Mayo. NOTE: A much weathered inscription reads "DOM ANNE BROWNE MORT 1761" (Craig and Craig 1999, 23-4).
